Lâmpada de Halloween de paletes

Esta semana resolvi fazer uma lanterna para o Halloween a partir de uma medeira de uma palete. Teria de ser also simples que seja fácil replicar.

Foi isto que saíu.....




Materiais necessários e ferramentas

1 ou 2 madeiras de paletes
Serra
Pregos
Graxa de Sapatos (opcional)
Pau
Vela ou led e pilha

Vamos a isto.

1. Arranjar a tabua



2. Cortar



3. Juntar os bocados



4. Desenhar face e furar



5. Cortar os elementos da cara



6. Depois de tudo cortado



7. Juntar os bocados



8. Lixar um pouco para lhe dar um melhor acabamento



9. Fazer uma base para o pau



10. Passar com graxa para envelhecer a madeira



11. Resultado final depois de tudo montado



Falta referir que a parte de trás é feita em dois bocados para se oder lá meter uma vela ou a iluminacao que se queira. Pode-se adicionar uma vela , um led e uma pilha ou simplesmente uma lanterna dos chineses que tenha o modo de flash.

Halloween lamp from pallet

This weekend with the haloween getting closer and closer the ideia was to make a halloween lamp from a pallet to put outside. Something simple that culd be easely replicated. 

This is what i came up with....




Required Materials and Tools

1 or 2 boards from pallets.
Saw
Nails
Shoe Polish (optional)
Stick
Candle or a Led and a small battery

Here we go

1.Gather the board

2.Cut the board

3.Join all the pieces

4.Make the face and some holes to help cutting it

5.Cut out the face

6.After the face cutted out

7.Some nails to put all the pieces together

8.A lithle bit of sanding for a nicer finish

9.Assemble the holder base 

10.Some shoe polish for finish

11.Final result after assembled

After finished just stick it into your garden. You can put inside a small candle, a led and a battery or just buy a cheap lamp that flashes, you cen get them really cheap a put it in.

Forgot to take a pucture of the back side but it's splitted into 2 parts wich enables me to put the candle in.

Cutting Board

Tábua de corte mogno e pinho

Este fim de semana tinha ali um pouco de mogno para o quel ainda nao tinha tido utilidade e resolvi dar-lhe uso. Resolvi fazer uma tabua de corte com duas madeira para ter algum contraste e dar-lhe mais resistência. Não é um projeto complicado mas requer algum paciência especialmente pelo tempo de espera de secagem da cola e tambem pelo trabalho de lixagem necesário. Os dois bocados de pinho dão-lhe extra resistência porque o veio do mogno está cruzado com o do pinho.

Materiais necessários e ferramentas

2 tipos de mandeira (usei mogno e pinho)
Serra de Mesa
Cola
Grampos
Tupia
Plaina
Oleo Mineral

Vamos a isto

1.Por o mogno á esquadia



2.Cortar o pinho á medida



3. Cortar o mogno para depois inserir o pinho



4.Colar tudo e esperar



5. Aplainar



6. Lixar, lixar e .... lixar



7.Por á esquadria novamente



8. Passar na tupia para ficar com o rebordo melhor



9. Depois de passar na tupia



10. Um pouco de oleo mineral para lhe dar melhor acabamento



11.Final

Cutting board mahogany and pine

This weekend i had some scrap of mahogany laying around and i've decided to do a cutting block with it. It's a easy project but requires some time since it has to dry the glue and also because of the sanding required. The pine gives extra strength since it has the wood grain crossed.

Her's the final product




Required Materials and Tools

2 Types of wood (i've used mohogany and pine)
Table saw
Glue
Clamps
Router
Planer
Mineral oil 

Here we go

1.Square the mohogany scrap



2.Cut out the pine to length



3. Cut the mohogany to insert the pine



4.Glue everything together and wait



5. Plain it



6. Sanding it



7.Squaring it again



8. Router to have a better smooth edge on top



9. After Router



10. A little of mineral oil for better finish



11.Final

Small Doormat from pallets

Pequeno estrado para tapete

Como vai começar a época das chuvas e o tapete de entrada fica sempre ensopado e não seca, resolvi fazer um pequeno estrado com uns restos de paletes que ainda tinha ali.
Aqui está um pequeno projeto simples de fazer, rápido e de fácil execução ao alcance de toda a gente.

Small Doormat from pallets

With the rain starting i've remebered that the rug sops easily. Let's make a small door mat so that the rug keeps dry in winter. 
Her's a small project very easy to make, cheap, no time consuming and that everyone can do.

Disassembled Pallet

1.Gathering the materials


2.Cut to size


3. Cut out the corners of the boards to look better


4. Assemble in place


5.Final Result
